Editorial Policy: How We Write and Check Our Shopify B2B Content
Our guides and use cases are written by the BSS B2B Solutions Editorial Team, checked against the apps and Shopify's own documentation, and reviewed for product accuracy by Hoa Nguyen. This page explains how, and how to tell us about a mistake.
How we write
The guides, glossary and use cases on this site are written by the BSS B2B Solutions Editorial Team. BSS Commerce makes the BSS B2B Solution, BSS B2B Lock and BSS B2B Quote apps, so we write about our own products. We describe them as the options a guide is about and say so, so weigh our view accordingly and check Shopify's pages for anything that affects a purchase.
Prices, ratings and review counts for the BSS apps come from their Shopify App Store listings.
How we fact-check
- Product behavior. What a page says an app does is checked against the app's source code and against the user guides at docs.bss-b2b.solutions. When the code and a guide disagree, the page follows the code or leaves the detail out.
- Shopify facts. Statements about Shopify features, plans and limits are checked against the Shopify Help Center and Shopify's own announcements. Sources are linked, with the date we read them.
- Plans and requirements. We do not state that a feature needs a particular Shopify plan unless we have confirmed it.
- Claims. We avoid promises we cannot check, such as guaranteed results, or legal or tax compliance outcomes.
Who reviews
The Shopify B2B guide, its six topic hubs, the glossary and the use cases are reviewed for product accuracy by Hoa Nguyen, a member of the BSS B2B Solutions team. These pages show a "Reviewed by" line with the date of the last review.
Updates and corrections
Pages show when they were last updated, and the main guide keeps an update log. We revise a page when an app changes, when Shopify changes something it describes, or when we find a mistake.
Spotted an error, or a Shopify change we missed? Tell us through the contact page. We check the report against the app or Shopify's documentation, correct the page if it is wrong, and update its date.
