Price Lists are not Shopify catalogs
The app manages them, so they do not appear on the Catalogs page.
Wholesale pricing
Shopify wholesale pricing means showing approved business buyers a different price from retail shoppers. You can do it with native catalogs, or with an app that applies price lists, custom prices and quantity breaks by customer tag. This hub explains the pricing models and links to step-by-step guides, use cases and docs.
A set of prices for one customer group, usually a fixed price per product or variant.
Glossary: Price listA rule, such as a percentage off, applied to selected products for a tag, a customer or a company.
Glossary: Wholesale pricePrice tiers that drop as the quantity in the order goes up, also called quantity breaks.
Glossary: Volume pricingA label on the customer account that rules use to decide who gets which price.
Glossary: Customer tagWhen several rules match the same customer and product, a priority decides which one wins, so the price stays predictable.
They differ in limits and rule order.

A price list holds fixed prices per variant for a group. Custom pricing is a rule, such as 20% off. In BSS B2B Solution a Price List wins on a variant.
Volume pricing lowers the unit price as quantity rises, for example 5% off at 12 units. Shopify allows 10 price breaks per product.
Target a rule at a customer tag, then tag the buyer. A registration form can add the tag on approval.
Each rule has a Priority from 0 to 99. The lowest number wins, and the older rule wins ties. It only decides between rules of the same module.
A fictional candle at $100.00 retail. Buyers tagged wholesale get a Price List price. Orders of 12 or more get a 5% tier.
| Step | What applies | Unit price |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Retail | Variant price. | $100.00 |
| 2. Base price | Price List sets $80.00. A 20% Custom Pricing rule also matches but is skipped. | $80.00 |
| 3. Volume tier | 5% off the $80.00 base, not off $100.00. | $76.00 |
| 4. Order of 12 | 12 units at $76.00. | $912.00 |
