Shopify B2B Without Plus: What You Get on Basic, Grow and Advanced
What works without Plus, with a plan table, the April 2026 change and workarounds.
Read the Basic, Grow and Advanced guideSolutions: by Shopify plan
Since April 2, 2026, Shopify's native B2B features are included on Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus. The plan decides how many catalogs you get (3 active across all B2B markets, or unlimited on Plus), whether a catalog can go straight to a company (Plus only), and whether you can take deposits (Plus only). BSS apps do not check your Shopify plan, except the checkout lock in BSS B2B Lock, which is for Shopify Plus stores.

Shopify says most B2B features are on all plans and some are exclusive to Advanced or Plus. On Basic, Grow and Advanced the store must use new Shopify Markets for B2B catalogs. Shopify changes plans, so confirm in the Help Center before you decide.
BSS B2B apps do not check your Shopify plan. Custom Pricing, Volume Pricing, registration forms, Net Terms, quotes and most locks work the same on Basic, Grow, Advanced and Plus. The one exception is the checkout lock in BSS B2B Lock, which is for Shopify Plus stores and needs a paid BSS plan. It fails open, so use it as a guardrail rather than a guarantee.
BSS has its own plans, and those decide which modules you get. Price List needs the Platinum plan. Net Terms, Tax Exempt, Order Limits and Manual Orders need Advanced or Platinum. BSS B2B Lock's paid plans are named after Shopify plans and start at $9.99 per month, and BSS B2B Solution starts at $29 per month (October 4, 2026 listings).
Because BSS price rules and Price Lists are stored and applied by the app, they are not Shopify catalogs. That is how a store on Basic, Grow or Advanced can serve more than three buyer groups. The pricing page lists what each BSS plan includes.
Three setups show the plan question in practice. Browse all use cases.

Retail and wholesale need different prices, tax display and access, but not two stores. Customer targeting by login state, tag or company location, plus Tax Display and registration, keeps both audiences on one catalog.

No. Since April 2, 2026 native B2B is available on Basic, Grow and Advanced as well as Plus. Plus adds unlimited B2B market catalogs, catalogs assigned directly to companies, deposits and partial payments.
Shopify's plan table shows the same B2B features on all three, with one difference: contextual checkout and storefront using Markets are on Advanced and Plus, not on Basic or Grow. Shopify says some features are exclusive to Advanced or Plus, so check the Help Center page.
On Basic, Grow and Advanced you can assign up to 3 active catalogs across all your B2B markets, in total. Plus has unlimited market catalogs and can assign catalogs directly to companies and locations.
No, with one exception. The BSS apps do not check your Shopify plan, but the checkout lock in BSS B2B Lock is for Shopify Plus stores. BSS plans, not Shopify plans, decide which BSS modules you get.
Yes. Shopify's net terms are on all four plans. BSS B2B Solution Net Terms adds rules that give terms to chosen customers or tags, and needs the Advanced or Platinum BSS plan. Deposits and partial payments stay Plus only.
No. BSS price rules and Price Lists are stored and applied by the app, and they are not Shopify catalogs. You can use native catalogs, BSS rules, or both. The comparison page lists where each is stronger.
