A line sheet is the wholesale price list you send to retailers: each product with its SKU, wholesale price, suggested retail price (MSRP), minimum order and case pack. Download a free template below as a CSV file that opens in Excel and Google Sheets, replace the sample rows with your products, and send it or load the same data into Shopify.

What is a line sheet?
A line sheet is a short, scannable list of your wholesale products for retail buyers. Where a catalog tells a brand story, a line sheet answers the questions a buyer has before placing an order: what is the SKU, what do I pay, what will it sell for, how many must I buy and when will it arrive.
You can build one as a spreadsheet, a PDF or a page on your site. The spreadsheet is the best source of truth, because the same rows can feed a PDF for email, a price import for your store and a quick order file for repeat buyers.
What to include on a wholesale line sheet
- SKU. One per variant, never reused. Everything else keys off it, including Shopify price imports.
- Product name, variant and category. Use the same names as your store so the buyer can find the product online.
- Wholesale price and MSRP. Keep currency and decimals consistent. The gap is the retailer's margin, so check it with the calculator.
- Minimum order (MOQ) and case pack. State whether the minimum is per style, per SKU or per order, so a buyer does not guess.
- Lead time. Days from order to ship, and a note for made-to-order items or pre-order seasons.
- Image URL or a photo. A clear product photo helps a buyer decide faster than any description.
- Terms in the footer. Payment terms (see the net 30 terms template), shipping, returns, how to order and who to contact.
Keep one row per variant, no merged cells and no totals inside the data rows. A tidy sheet imports cleanly and sorts and filters for the buyer.
How to send a line sheet to retailers
Email it as a PDF with a short note and a link to your wholesale application or ordering page. For repeat buyers, send the spreadsheet so they can fill in quantities, or give them a login where prices are visible only after approval. Wholesale prices are often private, so decide who gets the sheet before you publish it. If you do not want prices public on your store, the access control hub explains the options.
Update the sheet each season or when costs change, put the date on it, and retire old versions. Buyers order from whatever file they have.
Use the same data in Shopify
The columns on your line sheet map to settings you already have. Match the SKUs first: the sheet and the store must use the same ones.

Native Shopify
Open the catalog, choose Adjust prices, then Import CSV, upload the file and check the preview before you import. Large imports can take time, and Shopify notifies you when they finish. Do not rename its headers: the importer validates them, and the docs say to export a fresh template if the format changes. What is a line sheet?
A line sheet is a document for wholesale buyers that lists the products you sell, with the details a retailer needs to place an order: SKU, product name, variants, wholesale price, MSRP, minimum order quantity, case pack, lead time and a photo.
What is the difference between a line sheet and a catalog?
A catalog sells the brand and shows products in context. A line sheet is the working order document with prices and order rules. Many brands send both: the catalog to inspire, the line sheet to order from.
Should a line sheet show the retail price?
Yes, most do. The MSRP shows the retailer their margin and keeps shelf prices consistent across stores. Wholesale prices are usually shared only with approved buyers.
Can I import a line sheet into Shopify?
Not as it is. Shopify's catalog price import reads a SKU and a Fixed Price column, and BSS B2B Solution's price list import has its own template. Copy your SKU and wholesale price columns into the importer's file rather than renaming your line sheet columns.
What is a case pack on a line sheet?
A case pack is the number of units that ship together in one case. Listing it tells the retailer to order in multiples of that number. A size run does the same for clothing, such as 1 small, 2 medium, 2 large and 1 extra large.
