Earths Elements: How a US Crystal Supplier Runs a Wholesale-Only Shopify Store

Earths Elements Wholesale shows its catalog to everyone but its prices only to approved retailers. This spotlight looks at the public storefront, the application form and the BSS B2B Lock and BSS B2B Solution setup behind it.

Company Overview

Earths Elements Wholesale is a US wholesale supplier of crystals, candles, jewelry, incense and gifts for boutiques, metaphysical stores, yoga studios and gift shops. It ships from its own warehouse in Vista, California, and runs a wholesale-only store next to a separate retail site.

Earths Elements Wholesale supplies crystals, candles, jewelry and gifts to retail shops. Its Shopify store is wholesale-only: anyone can browse the catalog, but prices appear after a retailer applies, uploads proof of resale and logs in. This spotlight walks through the public storefront and the BSS B2B Lock and BSS B2B Solution features behind it.

About Earths Elements Wholesale

Earths Elements describes itself as a “U.S. wholesale crystal supplier for retail stores”, serving boutiques, metaphysical stores, yoga studios and gift shops. The assortment spans crystals, candles, beauty and wellness items, journals, jewelry, accessories, home décor, incense, smudge, selenite and sound-healing tools. At the time of writing the public catalog lists 1,544 products.

The company’s wholesale headquarters is in Vista, California. Its “Warehouse” page describes a main office, a warehouse and a small showroom in the same building, and says the team packs each order by hand. The header states that wholesale shipping is currently available in the U.S. and Canada, and a “Click Here for RETAIL” link sends consumers to a separate retail site. That link is why this store can be strictly B2B: shoppers who are not retailers have somewhere else to go.

How Earths Elements structures its B2B program

Everything on this store is aimed at one buyer, the retailer. The terms are printed on the home page and in the header, which is a useful habit: a prospective buyer can judge the offer before they apply. As published on the storefront:

  • Opening order. A $150 opening order. The site says each new account is paired with a dedicated rep who reaches out personally.
  • First-order offer. 20% off a first order over $500.
  • Shipping and returns. Free shipping from $350 within the contiguous states, free returns if the buyer reports a problem within 10 days, and a processing time of 5 to 7 business days, which the site labels as the current figure.
  • Who qualifies. The application page says applicants are asked for basic business information and “a valid Seller’s Permit, Resale Certificate, or equivalent proof that your business is authorized to purchase products for resale”, and notes that an EIN alone does not qualify.

The program is retailer-only by design, and the way in is the application form. Approval is manual: the form definition in BSS production data uses a manual approval mode, and the form is the same one linked from the “Start Your Wholesale Account” button in the menu.

How the storefront handles wholesale

A button in the menu and a landing page that can be found

“Start Your Wholesale Account” is a button-styled link in the main menu on every page, next to a plain “Customer Login” link. That gives two clear paths: new retailers apply, existing ones sign in. A separate public landing page, “Wholesale Crystals Supplier for Modern Retailers”, explains who the company serves and carries an “Apply for Wholesale Access” button. A public page like this can be found by a retailer who is searching for a supplier, before any account exists.

The application form

The form page opens with the offer and then asks for the information a supplier needs to qualify a shop. The fields we could see are first and last name, email, company, phone, billing street address, address line 2, city, state or province and ZIP, an optional separate shipping address with country, a required upload of “a copy of your resellers license”, a “how did you hear about us” drop-down, a field for the name of a sales representative, a message box and a newsletter checkbox. There is also a privacy policy confirmation before submit.

Two details are worth copying. The license upload is mandatory, so applications arrive with the document attached. And the form asks whether the buyer has worked with a representative, so the team can see who the applicant already knows. The fields are generated by BSS B2B Solution’s registration form builder, which supports text, drop-down, file and checkbox fields, among others.

Prices behind login

This is the part that makes the store feel wholesale. On the main collection page every product card on the first page, 250 of 250, shows the name, SKU and a “Login to view prices” link instead of a price. The product page does the same under the title.

The link carries BSS B2B Lock’s own markup (a bss-lock element with a numbered rule), and the page loads the Lock app’s scripts, so we can say the price lock is a BSS B2B Lock rule. The catalog stays open so that retailers can judge whether the range fits their shop before they apply.

A short “Enquiry” link also appears under the price on the product page. We could not tell which app or theme feature draws it, so we do not describe it. This spotlight describes the product and collection pages only.

On a phone

Many buyers browse on a phone. The mobile product page keeps the title, SKU, the Login to view prices link and the quantity box in one column.

Which BSS features power it

The visible markers show BSS B2B Lock and BSS B2B Solution on the storefront. We also read, with read-only queries, which BSS B2B Solution features are switched on for the shop. We used only feature settings, not orders, revenue or customers. Lock settings are stored in a separate database that we did not access, so the Lock part below relies on what the storefront shows. As of October 5, 2026:

The 60% figure is the share of the public catalog targeted by enabled quantity rules, taken from rule configuration. It is not a sales figure, and it ignores exclusions.

What other merchants can copy

  • Keep the catalog open and lock only the price. Retailers can judge the range, and search engines can read the product pages.
  • Put the terms where buyers can see them before they apply: opening order, shipping threshold, returns window and processing time.
  • Make the proof of resale a required upload. It turns approval into a quick check instead of an email chase.
  • Send consumers somewhere else. A visible link to the retail site keeps a wholesale-only store from losing goodwill.
  • Offer a login and an application path side by side in the menu, so returning buyers do not land on the form.
  • Write a landing page for the search a retailer would type, such as “wholesale crystals supplier”, and link it to the form.
  • Use quantity rules for how you really sell. Case packs and per-product minimums belong in rules, not in separate variants.

What Earths Elements says about the apps

Earths Elements has left two public reviews on the Shopify App Store, both five of five stars. The first, for BSS B2B Solution, dates from December 10, 2025, after eight days of use:

“The app is powerful, intuitive, and covers all the functionality we need for a smooth wholesale experience.”

The second, for BSS B2B Lock, is dated January 12, 2026 (about one month of use):

“We needed a way to run wholesale properly: restrict access to verified retailers, hide wholesale pricing from the public, and streamline approvals. BSS B2B Login/Lock & Hide Price delivered on all of it.”

Both reviews also praise the BSS support team. Read them on the BSS B2B Solution reviews page and the BSS B2B Lock reviews page.

Frequently asked questions

How do I hide wholesale prices on Shopify but keep the products visible?

Use a price lock rather than a password page. Earths Elements keeps its catalog open and replaces each price with a Login to view prices link, which is what a BSS B2B Lock rule produces. You can also choose to hide or disable Add to cart. See Hide wholesale prices from guest visitors and the BSS guide to hiding prices from guests.

Can I ask for a resale certificate or business license on the application?

Yes. BSS B2B Solution registration forms support file upload fields, with a 10 MB limit per file. Earths Elements marks the license upload as required. See Registration form with conditional logic and uploads.

Does locking prices hurt search visibility?

Prices that are hidden in the page are less likely to appear in Google results, but it can take up to 24 hours and your store must be public. It does not remove the page and does not change a Merchant Center feed. See Hide prices from Google search results.

How can I sell in case packs or fixed multiples?

Set a quantity rule with an increment. Earths Elements has ten enabled quantity rules on chosen products. In BSS B2B Solution an increment can be a fixed pack size, and a minimum can sit on the same rule. See Sell in case packs and multiples.

Can approved retailers be tagged automatically?

Yes. A registration form can attach a tag when a buyer is approved, and auto-tag rules can add more tags based on events. A Lock rule can then let that tag through. The BSS guide on registration tags with Lock shows the link between the two apps.
